Developmentally Appropriate Gardening for Young Children

We feel that gardening with children is very important. Maybe we have designed a play garden for you or you have decided to start your adventure in the natural world on your own. Our website has some great resources for you and includes an article on developmentally appropriate gardening at:

www.whitehutchinson.com/children/articles/gardening.shtml (www.whitehutchinson.com/ children/ articles/ gardening.shtml)

Part of the equation of doing developmentally appropriate gardening is having the right size garden tools for children. Insert picture clipping Real tools sized for young gardeners can be found at http://www.gardentimeonline.com/ChildrensGardening.html or at the website www.KidsGardening.com.

Tools should downsized for young hands and arms, but quality-built to hold up for years of use.
